Growing Sudley is a project of The Friends of Sudley Estate. Sudley House is a Victorian Merchants House in extensive grounds in Mossley Hill, Liverpool. The House and grounds now belong to the National Museums Liverpool (NML) and Liverpool City Council (LCC) respectively.
The project aims to bring the walled garden at Sudley House back to life as a place for learning about horticultural skills, the social and horticultural history exemplified by the garden, sustainability and other contemporary horticultural issues. It’s a place providing fun events for families, schools and the local community.
As a small voluntary group there was very little money in the pot and an identity was required that could be used and applied by the client, it also needed to work at different scales and in one colour.
The wordmark uses the typeface Old Craftsman, and a 'kit of symbols' was designed for use on different items such as A4 posters and planters in the garden.
